Alibaba Plans Software To Let Retailers Open Virtual Reality Storefronts

China's biggest eretailer has been investing in virtual reality for some time, and has now announced plans to open a demonstration shop. More interesting are their plans to develop software that could allow any retailer on their platform to create virtual reality storefronts of their own.
This type of DIY approach to virtual reality could be the thing that opens the door to have more ubiquity in VR for ecommerce, and therefore lead users to adopt this type of buying themselves.
