Berlin Creates World’s First “Startup Supermarket”

For any adventurous eater who loves to find new products, it isn’t always easy to engage your spirit of change, because grocery store shelves are routinely stocked with the most popular products that everyone likes.

In an industry that is increasingly heading toward private label versions of products produced and distributed by the stores themselves, this concept store from Berlin is a welcome change. Shoppers there can try innovative new products, and the startups behind them have a place to try out their new ideas and get them in front of consumers.

I love everything about this idea ... and I’ll be one of those consumers waiting to see it duplicated in the United States.

Rohit speaks on this topic. See his innovation keynote.

This is a blog about non-obvious ideas. Originally launched on the Typepad platform in 2005 as the Influential Marketing blog, the stories at first focused mainly on digital marketing while Rohit worked at Ogilvy Advertising. In 2015 Rohit officially rebranded to the Non-Obvious Insights Blog and published his WSJ bestseller Non-Obvious. For the past twenty one years, this blog has coined new terms, introduced future marketing practices and inspired the next generation of non-obvious thinkers and marketers.
