“Deep Nostalgia” AI Can Animate a Video From Your Old Family Photos
Just imagine looking at a 50 year old family photo and seeing the faces come to life as if the photo were an old video. Family genealogy website MyHeritage.com launched a provoking new marketing campaign allowing users to animate an old family photo. For some people, this is a powerful emotional experience that is already generating a lot of comments and buzz online.
It doesn't hurt that nostalgia is hot right now in everything from the comeback of old past times (puzzle-making!) to the near-constant stream of 80's era movie sequels (Coming to America 2!).
