Emotional Sci-Fi Game Takes Storytelling In A New Direction
Narratives in gaming have long been at the frontier of an interactive sort of storytelling that gets more and more popular as the technology advances.
The highly anticipated and critically acclaimed game Alone With You, which arrived on Steam in early February, is a good example. It tells a first person story of one living human stuck on an abandoned planet that is scheduled for implosion, with only the planetary AI for company. The result takes you inside what it means to be alone, and what it means to be in love.
Smart, unique, and released just in time for Valentine's Day.
