How Blockchain Smart Contracts Might Destroy The Legal Industry
The legal industry is one where entry level workers are expected to work their way up and earn experience that eventually will translate into seniority. What if technology started to replace much of this entry level work?
Blockchain and smart contracts are already removing some of the processing and backoffice work that was typically required to be done by junior associates, who would be billed out per hour for exorbitant hours to corporate clients. The shift will likely take another decade or more, but it is already causing some legal firms to rethink their structure and how they charge for services.
