Ms. Monopoly Rewrites Rules So Women Get Paid Higher Than Men

Ms. Monopoly board game box

An updated female-centric version of Monopoly is out, with a new mascot: Rich Uncle Pennybag’s niece, who invests in female entrepreneurs. Female players get more money to start and also earn more than men every time they pass go.

The version is already receiving its share of criticism, but the brand is used to that. Last year they launched a Millennial version which featured avocado toast and thrift stores, but no houses. And they launched a controversial Socialist version too.

If nothing else, you have to appreciate Hasbro’s bold attempts to make the game more relevant today.
